Not the Master Blaster but The Wall!

The Wall in the Hall!

Doesn’t it seems funny but yes its true! The Wall, Rahul Dravid has been inducted in the INTERNATIONAL CRICKET COUNCIL’s Hall of fame on 2 nd July, 2018. The mighty cricketer, Dravid has become the fifth Indian cricketer to be inducted in the Hall of fame.

Also known as The Wall, Rahul Dravid is a living legend of cricket.
In a conference, Dravid addressed , "It is a matter of great honour to be named by the ICC in the Cricket Hall
of Fame. To find your name in a list of all-time greats across generations is something one only dreams of
while setting out on a cricket career and the kind of recognition that would delight any player."
Further Dravid added , "I would also like to thank the KSCA and the BCCI for all the support over the years and the ICC for recognizing my achievements and picking me in this group of Hall of Fame inductees."

Along with him, Ricky Ponting and Claire Taylor are also been inducted into this prestigious hall of fame.

Not the Master Blaster but The Wall!

Yes the statement says it all! Its Rahul Dravid which has been inducted before Sachin Tendulkar. Mr. Tendulkar
tweeted, “Congratulations, Rahul Dravid. The wall is finally into the hall. Much deserved.”
Dravid became the fifth Indian after Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Bishan Singh and Anil Kumble to receive this honour. However, many fans of Sachin are unhappy, wondering that why their God is not been nominated.

Sachin is no doubt the God of Cricket, but even the God has to wait as according to the nomination policy, A
player can only be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame only after five years of his retirement from International
Cricket. Sachin retired in November 2013 therefore the God has to wait till November to be inducted.

Team first!

The ICC Hall of Fame is no doubt the biggest achievement in the life of a cricketer. Even though, Sir
Rahul Dravid after hearing his lifetime achievement wasn’t present for the occasion to receive the honour.

He is currently the coach of India who is currently in England with his team India A.

The proud moment, for India as well as for Dravid was when the International Cricket Council(ICC) nominated
Dravid’s name for its Hall of Fame, in a ceremony in Dublin on Sunday.

Even words are far too small for The Wall’s achievement!
Yes Rahul Dravid has made his family, his supporter, his companions and his countrymen feel proud of him.

Great wishes and heartily congratulations to the
