And, Who will organise peasants for Civil Disobedience movement? Who will provide relief to the refugees of Delhi and Punjab? There are so many questions that needs to be answered. SARDAR VALLABH BHAI PATEL
Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was born and raised in the countryside of Gujrat. His father Jawarbhai Patel was a government employee and Patel became a successful lawyer. Patel was from a middle-class family but somehow organised to complete his study of law.
PATEL’S CONTRIBUTION FOR INDEPENDENCE
Sardar Patel was another big name in the history of India’s independence. He was one among from the group of Mahatma Gandhi. He became one of the most influential leader of Gujarat. During the non violent Civil disobedience movement , Patel subsequently organised peasants from Kheda , Borsad and Bardoli for the support. Even Gandhiji gained attention from people of Gujarat because of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel. Gandhiji and his policies were passed by people of Gujarat on the face of Sardar Patel.
SARDAR PATEL ROSE TO THE LEADERSHIP OF INC
Patel rose the party known as Indian National Congress under his leadership for the elections of 1934. It was Patel’s power and sharp mind due to which they got approval for forming Indian National Congress against British Raj. During 1934 and 1937 he organised the party for elections as well as promoted the Quit India Movement. However , Patel didn’t head the party because of Mahatma Gandhi. He want him to rule over the party but Gandhi didn’t head the party because he want to remain as a common man so that people can trust him or it might be a political conspiracy.
WHAT DID PATEL DID AFTER ATTENING POWER’S ?
Patel came into power by becoming the first Home Minister and Deputy Minister of India. Patel was a real social worker . He organised relief for refugees from Punjab and Delhi. Patel worked to restore peace. He had worked to restore peace. He worked to unite India again. In his speech during the Freedom Struggle, he motivated people by saying ” We are more than there half, if we unite together than no colonial rule will rule over us. United India can kick English out”. However, due to Jawaharlal Nehru’s conspiracies, Patel’s influence was reduced but till his period he worked as a true freedom fighter.
