LEAH CHOWDHRY WILL SWIM 22 MILES TO RAISE FUNDS TO END CHILD TRAFFICKING

25- Year old  Leah Chowdhry is going to cross English Channel . She’s an Indian Origin Entrepreneur. Above all, she’s doing this to raise funds to end Child Trafficking. Leah runs a professional childcare service called Pop up, Party , and Play.
She will swim from Dover to Calis in France on Wednesday. The way is 35 Km long . She will have family and friends to support her on the way . They can travel by boat but , under Channel according to Swimming Association rules , she’s not allowed any human contact while undertaking the challenge.
During an interview Leah said that ” I am honoured to be one of the first ever British Asian women to take on this challenge”. The way might not be so easy , because she will face a battle with Jellyfish , Ship tankers and Seasickness during a journey. On an average it is expected that it will take her 13 hours to complete this journey in light and dark. She will swim to raise fund for the British Asian Trust.

About the Charity

This charity was founded by Prince Charles. She has been working hard from last six months to raise funds for the charity. This fund will be used for the protection of children facing trafficking and exploitation. This fund will provide them quality education and necessary things to some of the country’s poorest children. Leah Chowdhary has already raisen more than 35,000 pounds for this life changing work.
It has been estimated that around 1.2 million children in India are facing commercial sexual exploitation.
British Asian Trust in India runs three night care centres for children. Similarly, they provide shelter homes and residential training to girls. They have launched a latest project in India that will protect the sexually exploted children all over the nation . Even after the rescue of thousands of children and Women from exploration, a large number of children and women are still harassed by this .
In February Leah had visited the organisations in India to see the quality of school education and to support , in improving their learning lessons.
She asked some of the children what they aspire to be in future ? They answered , A Footballer or A doctor or Am Engineer etc. This thing motivated her more to do this kind job on a large scale so that no children on Globe should face the exploitation. Lets join our hands and support The Legend Leah Choudhry in her Task so that more fund can help more children. People like Leah are really appreciable. They shows us that Humanity is still alive on Planet Earth. Leah taught us a new lesson of Kindness and Humanity.
Hats off to you !
