In Modern India, the status and position of women are growing day by day. The role of government in this matter is very impressive. The government of India has launched many schemes in favor of women welfare. These schemes are:

Schemes for Loan for Women

Funds are the first and foremost requirement of any kind of business. People who don’t have sufficient fund have another option of taking loan. SBI provides some special types of loan to women at low or no interest.

  • Bharatiya Mahila Bank Business Loan

This bank provides business loan to individual women so that they can easily overcome to the problem of funds in businesses.

  • Stree Shakti Package For Women Entrepreneurs

This scheme is managed by SBI .Women entrepreneur who are operated businesses can take loans under this scheme. Loans are provided from rs. 50,000 up to 25 lakhs depend upon the size and structure of business.

Schemes for Women Welfare

  • Orient Mahila Vikas Yojana Scheme

This scheme is provide by Oriental Bank Of Commerce. The main purpose of this scheme is to fulfill the credit needs of women Entrepreneur.

  • Mahila Udyam Nidhi Scheme

This scheme is offered by Punjab National Bank. It is the combination of four types of special schemes for small scale industrial units.

  • Dena Shakti Scheme

This scheme is offered by Dena Bank for financing to women entrepreneurs for the activities like agriculture & allied activities, retail trade, education and housing.

Further, our prime minister for women has launched some more schemes.These are:

  • Mudra Yojana Scheme For Women
  • Udyogini Scheme
  • Cent Kalyani Scheme
  • Annapurna Scheme

Schemes for Indian pregnant women

The Ministry of Women and Child Development manages this scheme. For pregnant women, Government of India has framed some special schemes . Hence, women are entitled to maternity benefit of not less than rupees six thousand in three instalments.
