It is a regression phase. It lasts for 10 days. Hair starts to shrink and detached from dermal papilla.

 Phase 3: TELOGEN

It is a resting phase. the old hair is resting. It lasts for 3 months. Here is also the starting of growing new hair.

 Phase 4: EXOGEN

It is the last phase where the old hair, falls out. The new hair growing on from the same follicle.Then, the cycle repeats.
